The new Silverado lineup offers enhanced tech features, safety advancements, and impressive performance. Take a look at just four standout features of the 2025 Chevy Silverado 1500 in this breakdown.
1. TurboMax Engine
The 2025 Chevy Silverado 1500 comes with a standard TurboMax engine that’s combined with an 8-speed automatic transmission to deliver 310 HP at 5600 rpm and 430 lb.-ft. of torque at 3000 rpm. The Silverado’s transmission is electronically controlled with overdrive and features Tow/Haul mode, powertrain-grade braking, and cruise-grade braking.
For more intense performance, there are three other available engine options: a 5.3L EcoTec3 V8, a 6.2L EcoTec3 V8, and a 3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel engine. The 3.0L Duramax offers the strongest performance, yielding 305 HP at 3750 rpm and 495 lb.-ft. of torque at 2750 rpm with a maximum towing capacity of 13,300 pounds. All available engine options are paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
2. Chevrolet Infotainment 3 System
The 2025 Chevy Silverado 1500 comes with a 7-inch Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system on the WT, Custom, and Custom Trail Boss trims. Higher trims come with a 13.4-inch Chevrolet Premium Infotainment 3 system with Google built-in. All Infotainment systems include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for pairing your smartphone to your truck.
With the Google built-in addition, your truck turns into a mobile personal assistant. Google built-in includes the most helpful Google features, including Assistant, Maps, and Gmail. You can use these features to schedule appointments, send emails, or get GPS directions right in the cabin of your truck.
3. Durabed with Multi-Flex Tailgate
The new Chevy Silverado 1500 comes with a standard Durabed that’s made from roll-formed high-strength steel. The Durabed is built to haul any type of material without incurring damage. The Silverado’s bed also features cab-mounted cargo area lamps that light up your bed during night hours and twelve fixed cargo ti-downs that are rated at 500 pounds each corner.
The available Multi-Flex tailgate makes it easier than ever to load, unload, and haul cargo in your Silverado 1500’s bed. This tailgate can be reconfigured into six different positions, including a full-width step that can withstand up to 375 pounds. The Multi-flex tailgate is available on all Silverado 1500 trims.
4. Chevy Safety Assist
The 2025 Chevy Silverado 1500 comes with Chevy Safety Assist, a comprehensive assistive driving package that acts as a second pair of eyes on the road. Chevy Safety Assist includes driver-assistance functions like Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Following Distance Indicator, and Forward Collision Alert.
The Chevy Safety Assist package works by using radar sensors and onboard cameras to monitor your surroundings at all times. When it detects a possible hazard in your truck’s path, it uses audio or visual alerts that indicate you need to apply the brake or change your course of action.
